There are many symptoms that Down Syndrom can cause, they are the following:
Heart Disease - Some minor heart defects can be treated with medication but other, more serious defects, can be treated with surgery
Intestinal Defects - Twelve precent of babies born with Down Syndrome experience intestinal situations and need surgery to treat it
Vision Defects - More than sixty percent of children with Down Syndrome are affected by it. It is treatable by glasses or having eye surgery
Hearing Loss - About seventy five percent of children with the disease develop it. Some of the time the hearing loss is only temporary but other times it can last forever.
Infections - Most children with Down Syndrome tend to catch sicknesses much easier and faster than children without the disease
Thyroid Problems - About one percent of babies with down syndrome develop this problem
Leukemia - Fewer than one in one hundred children develop this so it is very unlikely. If caught though at an early stage, it can be treated with chemotherapy.
Memory Loss - Most adults with Down Syndrome start to develop this at a very early age in life, around thirty five years of age

The person tends to have small ears that may fold up a little at the top
The person has a small mouth
They have a small, flattened nose
The person has a very small neck
They have either small hands or feet
The person could have low muscle tone
